Soil Amendment Blends
Luke A. Besmer has been making custom blends for over half a decade based on soil tests. After seeing hundreds of test results, he was able to identify trends and then develop amendment blends to meet the needs of the generally depleted soil. These blends have nutritional ratios that are balanced is such a way to provide ample fertilization to an organic garden while encouraging a thriving microbial community.
Dep Blend
Made for indoor and light deprivation gardens. A 3-7-4 NPK, with a 4:1 Ca:Mg ratio. We like a higher Mg ratio due to the fact that Calcium levels are usually more than sufficient in soil that is being reused. The amount and type of nitrogen is sufficient for a short period of vegetative growth, with enough to sustain through flowering and fruiting. The mix contains sufficient sulfur and micro-nutrients as well.
Application Rate
Medium Strength = 1 Pound Per 10 Gallons of Soil = 20lbs/yard of soil = ~1/2 lb per 10 square feet
Full Strength = 2lbs/10 gal soil = 40lbs/yard = 1lb/10sf
Ingredients: Fish Bone Meal, Soft Rock Phosphate, Alfalfa Meal, Bat Guano, Fish Meal, Neem Seed Meal, Crustacean Meal, Palm Bunch Ash, Langbeinite, Rock Phosphate, Azomite, Kelp Meal, Glacial Rock Dust, Insect Frass, Gypsum, and Dolomite.
Full Term
Made for gardens that are growing full season. With a 3-5-3 NPK, this blend will carry your garden on into the fall.

Medium Strength = 1 Pound Per 10 Gallons of Soil = 20lbs/yard of soil = ~1/2 lb per 10 square feet
Full Strength = 2lbs/10 gal soil = 40lbs/yard = 1lb/10sf
Ingredients: Fish Bone Meal, Fish Meal, Phosphate Rock, Langbeinite, Soft Rock Phosphate, Bat Guano, Palm Bunch Ash, Alfalfa Meal, Epsom Salt, Feather Meal, Glacial Rock Dust, Neem Seed Meal, Gypsum, Kelp Meal, Volcanic Ash, and Crab Meal.

Bloom Top Dress
A combination of compost, castings, and other beneficial amendments. With a 2-5-4 NPK this blend is meant to sustain robust development through fruiting and flowering.
Application Rate
Top Dress = 1/4-1/2 Cup per square foot, once every 1-2 weeks
Compost Tea = 1/4 Cup per 5 gallons of Actively Aerated Compost Tea
Ingredients: Compost, Worm Castings, Phosphate Rock, Fish Bone Meal, Soft Rock Phosphate, Langbeinite, Palm Bunch Ash, Insect Frass, Kelp Meal, and Volcanic Ash.
